In just six days on Close Up’s Washington High School Program, you will learn more than you ever thought possible, achieve more than you ever thought you could, and have more fun than we could ever explain! During our fast-paced, interactive programs in the nation’s capital, you will take part in exciting, challenging, and unforgettable activities as you breathe in all that Washington has to offer. From visits to the famous sites of Washington to meetings with government officials, Close Up not only allows you to see your government, but to experience your government.

Your days will be filled with countless learning opportunities as our one-of-a-kind program takes you to Washington’s famous monuments and memorials. We give you a front row seat to democracy in action in the halls of Congress, as well as in meetings with Washington insiders and media. It is all designed to help you make a personal connection to your role as a citizen and the issues that churn debate in Washington, DC.Your Nights:
Each night, you and your team will take part in activities, discussions, and debates to reinforce what you learned and experienced that day. You will also enjoy nightly socials and our Thursday night banquet and dance, which will give you a chance to laugh and relax with your friends from your school and from schools around the country.Your Friends:
Whether you attend Close Up with your school or on your own, you will make lots of new friends as you live, learn, and interact with other students from across the United States and the world.
